Mint

Actions: Anaglesic, antimicrobial, antiseptic, antispasmodic, repellent, stimulant, diaphoretic, digestive, anti-inflammatory

Similar to chamomile, mint is often used as a tea to soothe stomach trouble. However, it is beneficial for a much wider array of ailments. Mint may clear the sinuses during illness, and soothe inflamed, aching muscles. Its high content of salicylic acid and anti-inflammatory properties help with acne. It is also beneficial for other skin irritations like insect bites. As a tea, mint may ease cramps and headaches.

Contraindications: May reduce milk flow in breastfeeding mothers. Take with caution. Monitor use in children, and avoid prolonged use.
